Honestly, I just absolutely love eating.
EatingALotofVeg started off as just a small food-stagram account where I primarily posted photos of burgers and bagels that I’d made. Since then it has grown and evolved into showcasing the food that I love to eat all over the world. As my own culinary journey has progressed, so has the account, moving from vegetarian to vegan and presenting more of my own cooking as I move forward as a chef.
Starting off as a cook in a burrito bar, working in my first restaurant and now working as the sous chef of a breakfast and brunch cafe.
If it wasn’t for the constant support and food based peer-pressure (and phone camera) of my girlfriend, this account wouldn’t be anywhere near where it is now.
Happy Oktoberfest 🍺 Beer cheese soup served in a warm soft bagel bun and Hamburger Steak with mashed potatoes and a mushroom & onion gravy 🥩
Loved all of this, made my tummy hurt after all the food and beer. Shout out to bluebell for modelling all of this as well as Sophies socks and my bandaged thumb.
I made my own vegan Yorkshire puddings 🕺🏼 Sausage roast dinner with leeks & peas, tenderstem broccoli, mustard mash, carrots, roast potatoes and onion gravy 🧅
Class, gonna make these for thanksgiving and Christmas. Don’t bother getting the oil hot it doesn’t work for these. Shoutout healthylivingjames for the recipe I think. If not shoutout James for the mushroom bolognese anyway 🍝
@dotbagels in Newcastle Upon Tyne offers a tasty addition to the city’s brunch scene, specialising in authentic New York-style bagels with a Newcastle twist. 🥯 Each bagel is generously filled with fresh and flavourful ingredients, serving up plenty of options for both meat eaters and vegans. 🌱 The North East Vegan Parmo Bagel offers a distinctive twist on two beloved regional favourites combing my love for parmos with ‘everything’ bagels, and as big “green goddess” fans, the vegan “Newcastle Fried Chicken” bagel stood out to us right away as a must-try. 💅 Neither disappointed and I have been dreaming about them since. This wasn’t our first visit and it certainly won’t be out last! ❤️

Vegan braised onion burger with black pepper Mayo, sautéed mushrooms and vegan cheese served with homemade wedges and bbq beans 🫘
I would eat these onions everyday. I like wrapping my burgers in tinfoil and leaving for 5 mins before eating so everything steams and softens 🍔
@shipouseburn is my favourite place to visit in Newcastle. This vegan hidden gem is located on Stepney Bank in the Ouseburn, and I make a point of going every time I come back up north. 🍽️ The Ship Inn in Newcastle is quickly becoming a go-to destination for anyone seeking delicious vegan food or even just a couple of pints before a night out. 🍻 One dish I always find myself going for is The Lucky Fish N’ Chips. Seaside style marinated tofu wrapped in nori seaweed and beer batter served with crushed sweet peas, chunky chips, and tartare sauce. 🤤

Vegan gambas pil pil with sourdough bread followed by a vegan Costco chicken and bacon pizza roll topped with ranch sauce and an edamame salad 🥗
The pizza roll was massive and I would gladly have it everyday.
When making this I didn’t realise one of my other more recent posts was a fish and chip butty. 🥪
Aldi vegan fish fillet, minted mushy peas, homemade tartare sauce, air fried crispy potato skins and some extra homemade chips 🍟
I ate this meal without a fork while watching The Watchmen, great movie great meal !
Lions Mane steak with fried onions, thyme and garlic butter, homemade chips, peas and peppercorn sauce.
Absolutely loved this, might have been the best meal I’ve ever made.
Creamy butterbean and courgette pasta with garlic sourdough breadcrumbs and parsley 🍝
This was one of the nicest impromptu meals I’ve made in a while. So good Sophie had the leftovers in a quesadilla the next night. 10/10 would make again, don’t tell anyone it’s pretty much just mac & cheese sauce 🧀
Creamy chickpea ceasar tofu pasta bowl with sourdough breadcrumbs, extra sourdough slices and some leftover @this.uk isn’t chicken pieces 🥗
The lovely @sophieioannidis_ made this for us from @sophsplantkitchen cookbook. 10/10 would recommend. Had it the next night again after watching 28 years lates, would also recommend 🧟♂️
Vegan fish finger butty 🥪
Vegan fish fingers, homemade minted mushy peas, zingy tartare slaw, extra sauce, homemade chips 🍟
Loved it, would serve this in a pub if I ever opened one. Would’ve preferred a different bun but beggars can’t be choosers when co-ops having stock problems. Inspired by @jims.table
Been out of the country for a week and this is the first thing made when home. Vegan Full, scrambled tofu, vegan sausages & bacon, hash browns, roasted mushrooms & tomatoes, toast and herby beans 🫘
Also bluebell is home and we be happier 🐈⬛
The Six by Nico vegan Nostalgia menu presents an intriguing journey through familiar tastes and nostalgic experiences, creatively crafted by the team at @sixbynicomanchester 🍽️ Each dish is designed to evoke memories of the past. Last year, I visited Six By Nico and tried their “Best of the Year” menu and absolutely raved about it. So when the option was presented to me to end 2024 doing the same again, I took it up in a heartbeat. 🥟 However, at the end of the meal, I felt cheated, underwhelmed and even ordered myself a takeaway before I’d even gotten home. 🍕 Especially after seeing other branches of Six by Nico serve the dishes correctly. 🙃 The @sixbynico Nico nostalgia menu may have been great for meat eaters and even vegetarians, but as a vegan, I would go as far as to say it was thoroughly disenchanting. 👎🏻

Homemade Chinese takeaway. Vegetable chow mein, prawn fried rice, spring roll, salt and pepper chips and a chicken curry.
Wok and roll 🤘🏻
Cucumber tahini salad flatbreads with crispy chilli chickpeas 🌶️
Absolutely loved this one, something a bit summery. Tried to follow @nomeatdisco as closely as I could without owning any harissa. Would 100% recommend. 🫓
I put a bunch of left overs in a wrap and ate them like a burrito 🌯
Mushroom, leek, onion, some kind of vegan chicken, probably coconut milk, chilli paste and chopped toms. More commonly known in this household as chicken yogi mush, served with herby mash, sautéed peas and garlic bread for extra carbs 🥖🧄
It’s bulking season. This meal was class, always happy on a yogi mush night 🐻
Before going vegan I never got a chance to have a Yorkshire pudding wrap. So as soon as I saw @therealyorkshirepuddingco did a vegan toad in the hole, my mind went to work 🌱
Vegan Toad in the hole Yorkshire pudding wrap with garlic mash, buttery peas, maple roasted carrots, roasted sprouts and rosemary and thyme roasted potatoes 🥔
Absolutely class, would make again, felt like a king 🤴🏼
I ordered way too much @wholesomejunkies and regret nothing. Chicken truffle burger, Korean poppers, chikn wings and sushi burrito 🌯
Everything was wonderful, I’d eat it all again in a heartbeat 🌱
It’s pizza time 🍕 One asparagus, artichoke, olive and caramelised onions pizza topped with rocket and balsamic vinegar and one vegan roast, mushroom and sweetcorn pizza covered with chilli flakes and mixed herbs 🇮🇹
Yes both have potato smiles on them, smileys are class 🙂 Having pizza tonight too, don’t tell me mum
Butterbean and leek, coconut milk, tomato, mushroom, maybe onion yogi mush with a roasted baguette, minted peas and spinach and garlic Dijon mash 🥖
The gaffa made this, I was a worried man. She said it’s the best thing she’s ever made and to be fair it was lovely. Am I sure what was in it, no. Is she going to make it again this week, I hope so ❤️
